Who is responsible
RickAI is run by Rick Boers. For anything about your data, email rick@rickboers.com.
What I collect
If you join the newsletter
Your email address, so I can send you my AI notes every Wednesday and Sunday. You give consent by submitting the form, and you can withdraw it anytime with the unsubscribe link in any email or by emailing me. Your data is never sold.
When you visit the site
I use PostHog analytics to understand which pages and tools are useful and to fix problems. It records:
- Pages you view, links and buttons you click, and where you came from.
- Your browser, device type, and approximate location.
- Whether you started or finished the Tool Finder, copied code from a resource, or joined the newsletter.
- Technical errors that happen on the page.
PostHog receives your IP address and browser details when this data is sent, and uses them to count visits without cookies. My reason for this is a legitimate interest in understanding and improving the site.
Analytics does not receive your newsletter email address, the code you copy, or your Tool Finder answers. Your Tool Finder answers stay in your browser. Sessions are not recorded.
When the site runs
The hosting provider, Vercel, handles the technical data needed to deliver pages and keep the site secure, such as IP addresses and request logs. Newsletter requests also produce a short log of whether the signup succeeded. That log does not include your email address.
If you email me
I receive your email address and whatever you write, and I use them to reply.
Who handles the data
- PostHog for analytics, using its EU hosting. This data passes through the site's own hosting on the way there.
- Resend for storing newsletter contacts and sending the newsletter.
- Vercel for hosting the site.
- Cloudflare for the domain's DNS.
Resend, Vercel, and Cloudflare are based in the United States, so your data may be processed outside the European Union.
How long it is kept
- Newsletter: until you unsubscribe or ask me to delete your address.
- Analytics and logs: only as long as they are useful for improving and running the site, within each provider's retention limits.
- Emails: as long as needed to deal with what you wrote about.
Your rights
You can ask me for a copy of your data, or ask me to correct or delete it. You can also object to how it is used, ask me to limit it, or ask to move it elsewhere. Email rick@rickboers.com and I'll help. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.
Cookies
This site does not use cookies. The cookie policy has the details.

This site is not aimed at children under 16, and I don't knowingly collect their data.
Changes
If how the site handles data changes, I'll update this page and the date at the top.
